I am replacing a seat in my feel free Moken V2 10. I am a kayaker on the heavier side and needed a kayak I could handle that I didn't have trouble getting in and out of. We have a 3 acre pond in front of our home and I kayak 4-5 times a week if possible as well as the trips with fellow kayakers. All this to say my kayak stays on the pond all year long. The seat of the original purchase is somewhat worn and I wanted no other seat to replace it. So it is pending it's fellow's demise. The other is tattered but still serviceable.
This was a replacement for the seat that came with my Moken that was purchased about 2 weeks ago, unfortunately, that one was stolen. The replacement fit perfectly, but I noticed that the back bracket had only one attachment point. The previous one had I believe 3- the more holes allowed more rake, otherwise it was perfect for my needs. I have used the Kayak on a pond in upper Maine and it worked great for me and my grandson (13 years old) .He handled the Moken easily (a bit nervous at first having never kayaked before and caught a 16 inch pickerel. His initial concern was stability but soon got over it due to the design of the Moken stability was never a question. Previously he could only fish from the beach and caught only sunfish. He wants to know when I will be buying him his own Moken. Perhaps an 8-9 foot version is on your mfg. horizon. for younger anglers. Shipping was fantastically quick and customer service was exemplary. A NOTE PLEASE SEND ME a user packet that was also stolen being under the original seat when stolen.
Perfect customer service
I bought this seat as a spare AND to retrofit into my canoes. This seat is even more comfortable in the canoes than it is in the moken. How do you know a seat is incredibly comfortable? You never think about the seat. Even after 8 hours of sitting. These seats are the best. Thanks for another great product FeelFree!!
