Introducing the all new Moken 10 PDL!
The next (r)evolution of the Moken series arrived, now sporting the Rapid Pedal Drive and Beavertail Rudder systems. We’ve taken one of our best sellers, the Moken 10 v2, and implemented our own, state of the art pedal package to deliver you a responsive, stable and surprisingly roomy 10-foot pedal-driven kayak.
The Moken 10 PDL offers a fun, efficient and comfortable experience for a full day on the water, whether or not you bring your rod and reel. At 10' 4” in length, don't think the Moken 10 PDL is only for skinny waters and smaller paddlers. Its 35" width paired with a massive capacity of over 400lbs provides ample stability so you can pedal, fish and even stand and spot cast with confidence. Plus, the expanded deck area combined with the EZ Rider multi-position seat can accommodate taller individuals while also feeling compact and comfortable for smaller pedalers.
This kayak's shorter length also makes it easier to store and transport. Getting it to the water from your vehicle is a breeze thanks to the integrated Wheel in the Keel and the molded in handles. When you’re finished for the day, the handles double as effective tie down points.
The Moken 10 PDL is jam-packed with a variety of other features including two integrated fishing rod holders with rod leashes, four UNI-Track accessory rails and a large tankwell storage area for all your fishing and adventure gear.
If you're pedaling for enjoyment, fishing for trophies or just need a more compact pedal kayak for efficient storage and transportation, you should check out the NEW Moken 10 PDL - small but mighty!

I bought the kayak for my son's 14th birthday and he loves it, he's is soo happy! The only problem is the distance between the pedals and the seat he has to scoot his butt all the way to the edge of the seat to reach the pedals. I'm sure he'll grow into it. Other than that no regrets, no complaints!
I visited my local dealer and got a feel for the brand, but they didn’t have the boat I wanted. But, the website allowed direct to public ordering. Most outfitter level kayaks don’t allow that. Feel free however shipped a moken 12 PDL right to my door. They called me to set up a delivery time and made it happen. Everyone I talked to was super nice! The kayak has been impressive so far. I also have a Hobie and while half the price, it is comparable. My favorite part about it though might be the handles. Makes loading by myself super easy.
I've been looking for a kayak for awhile now. Seen someone in my local lake that had a peddle drive system so I started to research. The moken 10 v2 peddle hit everything I wanted in a kayak. Light, easy to car top and transport. Sterdy and able to stand while fishing and the drive itself. I fish smaller lakes and rivers and the easy of a light kayak with a built in wheel is so relieving. The price for this kayak is something you can't beat for a all around kayak you can fish with and cruise with peddle drive. Shipping was great, the thing was wrapped in 20 layers of wrap no issues and pretty quick to me in illinois. @Feelfree wish you guys would make a fishing package like rod holders and cup holder and create ect to make it a 1 stop shop. I would definitely recommend this kayak for anyone who was to get started with kayaking or just a good easy to transport pond and lake hopper.
Very pleased. Just took my maiden voyage and was surprised at how stable it is. Also caught 7 Bass and a big Bluegill!
This is a first impressions review, as I have only been out on the water once with this kayak so far. SHIPPING/SETUP The kayak and the pedal drive ship separately. Kayak is through Old Dominion Freight Line (they will call you to set up a delivery time as it gets closer to the expected date), and the peddle drive is through UPS. I did not experience any issues or damages with shipping. Assembly of the kayak is super easy. For the rudder system, the cabling is already done for you. So you just have to attach the rudder to the boat and then attach the cables to the rudder (no instructions for rudder). For the peddle system, all you have to do is attach the pedals to the base of the pedal system. My only complaint is that if you want to tighten all the bolts on the pedal system, you will need to have your own hex keys. The system only comes with a 6mm hex key to attach the pedals. To tighten everything down you will also need a 5mm for the base, and a 4mm for the propeller. However, everything was tightened well on arrival, I just like to be safe. No extra tools are NEEDED for the setup of this kayak. TRAVEL The seat can be removed in seconds, only held down by one adjustable belt. The pedal system is latched into place, no screws or mounting bracket at all. This makes it extremely fast to remove and attach the pedal system in a matter of seconds. The side molded handles are well done and shaped well for my hands. I personally don't have a trailer hitch and have to use car top mounting to haul my kayak. This kayak is not light, but with 2 people it shouldn't be a problem. If you load it by yourself (like I did) you can use the hole where the peddle drive system goes as a leverage point to make lifting it a lot easier. I can not speak on hauling this kayak with a trailer. USE/EXPERIENCE The wheel in the keel makes it much easier to drag around. Once in the water you can deploy the pedal system and rudder and then you are off! I am 5' 11" 200lbs and it feels extremely stable when sitting down. When standing up, you will want to have decent balance and sea legs, but it is still very stable. If you plan to fish out of this kayak it might feel a little small because the pedal system takes up some space in front of you, so you are forced to put most of your stuff behind you and small stuff can go under your seat. If you plan to use this kayak for fishing, I highly recommend getting some add-ons if you don't like reaching behind you for everything. I was on the water for 4 hours and never once thought about the chair, it was extremely comfortable. I didn't even realize I hadn't thought about the chair until I got home! I did not flip this kayak, so I do not know how difficult it is to flip back over and get back in. You can get some decent speed built up when peddling, but I wouldn't say that it is faster than normal paddling (with good technique). Overall, it is extremely fun and comfortable to use. I highly recommend this kayak!
