We decided to order these coolers for two reasons. 1) the soft coolers we were using on the back of our Moken’s worked alright (ice melted, you could sometimes get into them easily for drinks or snacks without having to get out of the boat - but not most of the time), so our set up wasn’t great, so now that we have a dedicated cooler that’s made for our kayaks is very helpful. 2) We ordered a packmule for the back of our truck and were looking for coolers that were short enough that we could put the tailgate down and pull out our bed slide without needing to take all of the coolers off, and these coolers have made it possible! ALSO they kept ice wonderfully and our drinks and snacks stayed cold for days! At the beach, in the full sun for the a week, we refilled the ice daily however there was always ice leftover front he previous days. I’m very happy with the performance of the coolers so far!
United StatesWhat a very well built sturdy cooler! A little in the heavy side for a cooler but sturdy equals weight! Nice design with the pistol grip locking handle and handy bottle opener on the front. Plenty of space for beverages and what not. I love it!!
United StatesI have taken this on one camping trip so far and am very happy with the performance. I used ice packs instead of ice, and after 24 hours the blocks were still about 90% solid. I have full confidence that the ice packs would be cold for 3 days easy (will be testing on a trip in a couple weeks). This thing is built to last. The hinges, latches, and carrying handle are super tough. The cooler is a bit heavy, but that weight gives me confidence that this cooler could fall off the back of a truck and still be good to go (have not tested this). It is also stable and solid to sit on, I weigh 240lbs. Great cooler overall and glad I went with this and saved myself some money over the Yeti.
