How much does it cost to ship a kayak? Shipping typically starts at $99 and and increases depending on the kayak and location. When you enter your address at checkout, an accurate shipping charge will be available.

What is the best way to transport my new kayak? Depending on the size of your kayak, we recommend using a properly installed roof or truck bed racks, truck beds with bed extenders or trailers. Some kayaks weigh over 100lbs. In this case, for the safety of your vehicle, kayak and yourself, we recommend you transport via truck bed or trailer. We don't sell or make roof racks, bed extenders or trailers but you can find a wide variety of options online through manufacturers such as Yakima, Thule, Malone and dozens more.
How should I store my kayak? It is always best to store your kayak in a protected environment either indoors, in a garage or under a roof if outdoors. Most kayaks store best upside down on a rack system. This will ensure the bottom of your hull doesn't warp especially on hot days. They can also be stored on their sides, either on the ground or on a rack system just keep an eye on any warping and adjust accordingly. Some kayaks, mainly those with flat bottoms can be stored flat on the ground. *If you use your kayak in marine environments, make sure to rinse it completely with freshwater after each use to prevent corrosion. It's also important to do the same with your accessories, drives, rudders, etc.
Where is my serial number? Your serial number will be located just above the waterline on the right side (starboard) of the boat, at the stern of your kayak.
What accessories fit on the Uni-track rails? In order to use 3rd party accessories, you will need to purchase one of two items, either a.) UNI-Track Accessory Mount for the most flexibility or b.) the Yak Attack UNI-Track Adapter.
Can I upgrade my kayak to a pedal drive? You can only upgrade the Lure 11.5, 13.5 and Lure Tandem II to the Overdrive pedal system . Click here for more information. You can also add the Motordrive unit to turn your Overdrive into a motor driven system.
