I ordered this boat for shipment directly from FeelFree USA, and the shipping was quicker than expected. After making special arrangements with the freight carrier for pickup at a third-party location, I brought the boat home and unwrapped it from its thoroughly adequate packing material. Minor hull deformations were present, most notably beneath the seat, but I don't think these have impacted the boat's performance appreciably. After the boat's first encounter with 2'+ waves and wind, I discovered that the forward hatch was leaking a lot. The rearward hatch was fine. It turns out that the sealant between the hatch ring and the deck had holes in it from the factory. I added some marine-grade 3M sealant, and the leaking has subsided, but the forward hatch still takes on a good bit of water in moderate conditions. The only other gripe I have with the boat is that the forward adjustment for the seat back is completely non-functional. The ratchets slip unless the stars are aligned and I hold my breath. This leaves me sitting in an unsupportive seat that gets in the way of torso rotation. This would be a big deal for me, except that I'm replacing the seat back with an aftermarket backband from IR, so it's not a long-term issue. Minor bugs aside, this boat is fast and fun. Its speed and tracking put my wife's SOT fishing kayak to shame. I constantly appreciate high-end features like the perimiter decklines, ample storage, and comfortable but snug cockpit outfitting. The cockpit combing takes a Seals 1.7 spray skirt no problem, the skeg control and deck bungies fall easily to hand, and the retracting carry toggles and deep keel make the boat easy for two people to handle ashore. Overall, a light-duty sea kayak or all-around tourer that punches above its weight compared to boats at a similar price.
